Surprisingly enough, I bought this to use as fancy dress for an 80s costume this weekend. I was undecided as to whether I was going to go as Grange Hill's Mr Bronson or a rather ample-chested female 80s trend-setter(I've got the sort of face, figure and acting ability that could carry off either one of those with equal aplomb), but when I actually saw the quality of this jewellery set, my mind was made up. Any excuse to model a pair of earrings, that's me.
The actual components are 'heavy', which I was pleasantly surprised by. They're made of plastic and some fairly soft metal, but they don't feel 'cheap' in any way. The earrings are lovely - you won't feel alone while wearing them that's for sure. The clasp is refreshingly gentle; In my experience, clip-on earrings tend to clamp themselves shut like steel traps, cutting off the circulation to your earlobes in the process.
